Abstract
Believed he was the heroic guardian of the gates and resented anyone who approached without Keeper discipline. When played off against Cipher, they both made each other more interesting as two men connected to the same tradition from opposite sides of it.
Archive Notes
His growth was slow, moving from rigid defense to guarded accountability. The movie gave him his strongest moment when he acknowledged that secrecy alone had failed. In Fragments Part 4, he sealed the Lost Road but allowed C.H.A.O.S. to preserve a record, genuine growth for a character who had previously wanted to seal everything without exception.
