Abstract

Mateo Vega grew up around boats on the Texas Gulf Coast and came to C.H.A.O.S. through Coast Guard search-and-rescue. He read water the way Ridgeline read mountains, by feel first and instruments second. The movie's coastal intercept sequence was his defining moment.
