Lost Team rescue. Gate transit.
Abstract
A gate connected to the Lost Team's last known entry point began cycling toward threshold, and Garrison authorized a rescue mission with a strict time limit. The Keepers objected on the grounds that the route passed through dangerous Nexus territory. A small squad went through anyway.

First extended gate transit in the series. The other side was a habitable zone but clearly wrong. Different sky, altered biology, changed landscape. The Lost Team had been surviving in this environment for years. They were changed by the experience but still recognizably human.
