Jungle fragment. Biofield response.
Abstract
A fragment embedded in a jungle ruin was using the living environment around it as a routing system. Roots grew into configurations that matched Keeper diagrams. Animals avoided certain stones. The fragment wasn't merely present. It was operating through the jungle. Relic returned with a damaged Echo Unit that intermittently spoke in Vesper's voice.
Archive Notes
C.H.A.O.S. chose stewardship over recovery, deciding that removing the fragment might kill the ecosystem that had grown around it. The moral framework was shifting from containment to coexistence with something they couldn't fully control.
The Vesper signal said one phrase through the damaged Echo Unit. "Do not gather them." Whether this was a warning, a trap, or both was left unresolved.
